Photo of Korean traditional painter Damwon Kim Changbae at The Charm of K-Art exhibition at the Irish Archtectural Archive

We recently had the pleasure of photographing the opening reception of the ‘Charm of K-Art’ Exhibition hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea. The exhibition was at the Irish Architectural archive and included works from Korean traditional painter Damwon Kim Changbae, Korean embroidery artist Lee Jungsook, Korean painting artist Jang Hyunho, Ceramic artist Seo Saeri, Oriental painting artist Sung Somin and Western painting artist Yeo Yeoung A. With such a variety of media, the exhibition was designed to represent a journey through contemporary Korean Art.

The launch event was a great success, with almost all of the artist there to explain the sensibilities and processes behind their pieces. The Korean Embassy in Ireland continues to enhance solidarity between Ireland and Korea with these type of cultural exchanges.
